Since our early beginnings in 2001, our teams have been to 4 countries and have increased our ability to deliver first rate care dramatically. The impact that we make by improving someone's surgical, medical, or dental health goes way beyond the numbers listed above. When a mother is able to care for her family without the disability from a delivery gone wrong, or when the father of the family feels well enough to work due to correction of an ongoing malady, the improvement in family survival and happiness cannot be measured. In the communities we have returned to a year later, the smiles and hugs we receive speak loudly of the changes that have occurred in that family. And that is what makes us want to go back and do more.
